It’s an easy drive to St. Johns House from any direction.  We are located in the Riverside/Avondale Historic District at 1718 Osceola Street.

St. Johns House is easy to find, and it’s easy to get to other destinations in the city from the B&B.  St. Vincents Medical Center is 3 blocks away, Shands Jacksonville is less than 3 miles, and Baptist Medical Center is just across the river.  Ask for directions to these or other places when you arrive.

Traveling SOUTH on I-95, we’re about 12 Miles past the airport exit, near the downtown area.  Take exit 351-A, Forest Street.  Turn left at the end of the ramp and go to the 3rd traffic light.  Turn right onto Riverside Avenue and drive under the I-95 overpass; Osceola Street will be just over ½ mile.  You will pass by the Cummer Museum and Memorial Park (both on your left), and a small Publix shopping center on the right.  Osceola Street is 2 blocks beyond the Publix.  Turn LEFT, toward the river.  Osceola Street can be easy to miss, so if you come to a traffic light, you’ve gone 1 block too far.  St. Johns House is the third house on the right.

Traveling from the airport, follow the parkway to I-95 and turn south.  See above.

Traveling NORTH on I-95, soon after coming into the city center you will cross the St. Johns River.  On the top of the bridge, you will exit onto Park Street, # 351-A.  Turn left at the light at the end of the ramp, then go 3 blocks, through the shopping district, to the five-points intersection.  There are several good restaurants along this part of the drive.  Turn slightly LEFT onto Margaret Street (Wendy’s should be on your right), and go 3 blocks more to Riverside Avenue.  Turn RIGHT onto Riverside, go 3 blocks, and turn LEFT onto Osceola Street (if you come to a traffic light, you’ve missed Osceola Street by a block).  St. Johns House is the third house on the right.

Traveling EAST on I-10, stay on I-10 almost to its end near the downtown area.  Take the Stockton Street exit, #362, and turn LEFT (south).  Go about 10 blocks, past a 1920’s strip of shops – including a great neighborhood bakery, Bakery Moderne – to Riverside Avenue and turn LEFT.  Turn RIGHT at the next corner onto Osceola Street.  We’re the third house on the right.
